Where can i get an inexpensive midpipe?
 

Hey guys I was wondering where i could pick up a catted cheap midpipe? I don't have a lot of $$$ but i figured you guys would know.

Upon searching MT is the cheapest, take in mind the free shipping. I bought a brand new one from the corral Classifieds, a Flowtech, that fits perfect for $125 shipped. I like to search the classifieds always first for deals and it also helps others out.

Mine fit better than i hoped. I help a friend put a Mac O/R pipe on and it sat low. I ended up cutting a bend on it and pushing it up higher and welding it up. I bought a used mig welder cheap 2 years ago, best $$ i ever spent. $150 i paid for it and its more than paid for itself. Ive probably welded in 10 sets of subframe connectors in for people since i got it and only charged them $20.

Did your FlowTech have the convertors? I will be looking to weld my cars seems and install subframe connectors when I get it out of storage. My car has auto and when it shifts from first to second during full throtle acceleration it chirps the tires hard and the rear end seems to shift out of alignment at the same time.

Check the classifieds on all the sites for cheap catted midpipes, and like they said, MT has a great pipe for the money.

No converters, but the pipe was brand new. I bought some subframe connectors on ebay from blueovalindustries.com, they have a website, but i bought on ebay. These guys make their own I paid $40 for them plus shipping $14.95. Ive bought some in the past for double, and these are just as strong and same size steel. They were raw steel so i did sand them down and paint with good paint. They fit perfect.

I've put subframe connectors on every mustang i've had 9 of them. They are worth it. While i was under there i welded up my upper control arms to the unibody, They are on there only with a few tack welds to begin with, Scary if you look at them. I also welded in some more steel and welded up my torque boxes, and welded up any body seam i could while i was under there. I was done when i ran out of wire on the spool!!!

As cheap as subframe connectors are, they should be on every one's list. Even if you arent launching @ 6k or pulling 1 g corners, it just makes your car feel tighter, less creaks, and im sure it has to add years onto your cars life. Ford should put these on from the factory!!!

Thanks for the info on the subframe connectors,that price is half of what I've seen elsewhere.

I bought off ebay, and they had to of shipping the same day. I won them on a thursday and got them Monday. They came with the nuts and bolts to bolt to your seat mounts, which i guess helps stiffen up side to side of the body.

they have Non adjustable control arms for rock bottom prices, Uppers and lowers for $155, They look like the MAC's i won on ebay. Im putting them on tormorrow, i hope they help put the rubber down better. I see they also have some torque box strengthening kits. I welded mine up myself with some sheet steel i cut and drilled.

They also have some stut tower braces for cheap $69, if you have 99+ mustangs that ford deleted for some reason. My 97 came with one.
