Hold on wtf is under that hood of yours mr bullitt??? I got jus about the same damn thing starting to pile up in my area too I think... that a stock cobra eaton on a navi longblock? Ahh do tell I almost fell outta my chair how'd you make it come together send me a pm id like to know the details on bracketry and what nots thanks... looks good and under a stock hood...WOW!!!!
Well mine so far looks a lot like that... forged bottom navi, custom blower cams, eaton sc w. Jlt elbow, acufab tb, sct mass air, 60lb injectors, and smaller pulley... I was hoping end result would be 500hp/600tq to tires but with that kind of info I may get more than I expected??? Wow I'm not complaing at all. My sole reason is I rode in a kb terminator making 601hp to the ground and that is the point I want to be at. Ill trade some hp for some tq though anyday especially that much gawd! That much and the right suspenion wheels are coming off the ground =)
Nice, i was thinking if i make something like 360-380 to the wheels i would go with a 50 Shot,Or i might just get a LFP Lower pulley kit and run 12psi...Idk yet i kinda like the idea of spray but i have to see what its going to make the way it sits first, But im loooking for 420-430 to the tires by the time im done.I figured that would push the limit of the bottom end a little considering the torque would probably be close to 5xx.Should be good for some stong 11 sec passes i hope.Still don't know if im going to keep the 4.10s or not either, What gears are you running?
Yea, I used the Throttle cable out of my 02 f-150 with a custom throttle bracket,I currently don't have a return spring on the throttle and the pedal is a little soft since all thats there kicking the pedal back up is the spring on the throttle body.So i have to rig up a return spring.
Run that 12lbs pulley and sell me your crank balancer.
I'm running 3.55's and it was more than enough with the NA 5.4. I'll be ordering my throttle cable soon.

Took me 2 yrs to gather all the parts/assemble the engine, and 1 day to install in the car. Found most of the parts at swap meets and on ebay. Finished it in early 2007
Yes , those are real Ford GT rods and pistons - major swap meet find!!!!

sweet dude! are you currently running shorties on it? how did the intake come out?
im just running my stock manifolds for now. im gonna save up and get a set of the longtubes that FTP is making. the intake came out pretty damn good. the welds are nice and clean. now i need to take the upper off and have it powder coated chrome..
ya id like to know how that setup works and what is to it exactly. somethin ive been wondering about is could i have the lower intake for a kb widened like i did my intake to run a kb for my 96 cobra. i see the 1.5's for sale from time to time and would like to run a twin screw because the b heads are awesome for boost. i know i just got my 4v done but ive already got supercharger fever haha.
Id like to know what you did on the blower drive which pulleys you used. And which idler bracket too. Shoot me a pm if you don't mind =) and injectors? I just sent a guy the money for the lightning idler bracket I have all the terminator stuff though seeing yours made me even more fired up about getting mine in and running thanks!

I used all factory Terminator parts. I made adapters for the pulley bridge, so I didn't have to modify the timing cover. The upper pulley (2.8) was changed to improve hood clearance with stock hood.
I am running twin pumps and the Termie 42lb inj for now, my fuel system is fine for my current power level. I will have to upgrade the Lightning mass air before I can add more boost (pegged out, go figure?)
Im guessing its a 5.4 4v with 5.4 4v to 4.6 4v adapter plates with the 03/04 setup on top? Hard to tell from the pics you posted.
I widened the intake instead of using adapters, better airflow and kept the stock hood too. I cut two intakes in half off-center and welded them back together, then used a 3/8" plate on top to mount the Eaton.

Reason: added pic details
The only reason you would need a cowl is because of the huge adapter plates. He used ingenuity and found a way around it. Props to you Bullitt54. You are my inspirtation. You dont happen to have a few vids do you???

im still a little unsure of how this worked under a stock hood. everyone has been saying that it wont fit under a stock hood no matter what basically. could you explain to me how this isnt so? and with a 4v nonetheless
I have about $4k in parts, including the donor 5.4 Nav motor. I have pretty well documented the build on IMBOC.com
wow, $4k including motor. well i guess u did already have a 4v to begin with. i would have to buy a lot of extras to switch from 2v to 4v... sucks. can u post a link to ur write up on IMBOC.com?

The reason it was so cheap was that I spent 2 yrs scouring swap meets and ebay for good deals.
The Bullitt is a 2v, I have the complete original motor sitting in the corner of my garage.

The Lightning swap won't fit because of the mid-plate needed to clear the alternator, and the inlet is on top of the blower. The Termie has the alt on the side next to the PS pump and the inlet is on the side. It is at least 6"shorter than the Lightning setup.
The intake adapters are 1" thick and don't do the airflow any good. That is why I chose to widen the intake. I was also able to port match the intake to the larger Nav ports.
I did have to add small spacers to lower the k-member, a tubular K can be modded or the mounts could also be modded to gain some clearance instead.

In your tune did you say it had 42# ers because there Realy 39# same thing im running but i did not no if it would make a difference in the tune.

Any chance you have better or more pics of this setup it would be nice to see how someone else did it, I have been thinking about making my own adapter plate similar to what you have done to run the 03/04 cobra blower with the stock style lightning lower/mid,I would still need a cowl hood which is not a problem i just want to eliminate the plenum being on top
If you do can you pm them to me so i can check them out.
Are you still running the heat exchanger under the blower?
if widening the lower for a termi lower intake works, could i have the lower intake for a kb that was made for my 96 cobra widened to fit my 5.4 with my b heads like i did my original intake?

oh yeah, im retarded lol. so u bought all the parts like heads, supercharger, intake and everything and pieced it together? wow. about how much are a set of stock 4v heads? im considering getting a navi motor now . will the navi heads be comparable to the cobra heads or should i look for cobra heads? if im correct, the only difference are the cams.

Yep, I pieced it together.
The Nav heads have much larger intake ports than the cobra, the exhaust are the same. The Nav heads also have improved coolant flow around the exhaust area too, good for boosted.
The cams are close match to the Termies, really not much benefit to swapping them, especially in boosted engines. The Nav heads are too big for NA 4.6 engines, but are perfect for boosted 4.6 or 5.4 apps.
if widening the lower for a termi lower intake works, could i have the lower intake for a kb that was made for my 96 cobra widened to fit my 5.4 with my b heads like i did my original intake?
I considered a similar option a first, then decided to go 5.4 4v instead. That should work very well for you.
I originally was going to use a Lightning lower, eliminate the mid-plate, and use the Termie blower to drastically reduce the height. I figured I could get it under a stock or small cowl hood.

Once you have the widened lower, you can make up an adapter plate to mount just about any blower you want....

12.55 @114 on street tires. Don't mind the bog off the line, I was trying to avoid tire spin, so I launched at very low revs. Really starts to haul after it gets rolling.
P.S. This was before the custom tune (added 200 ft/lbs rwtq)
