I'm not hearing much from bob. THat's normally a good thing. Means he's busy getting the intakes ready. If everything holds to the last guess they should ship shortly after new years.

Sure does. You can keep your clutch and just buy an 03/04 cobra flywheel from d and d, or I have one for sale for 40 + shipping. New old stock. I converted to 10.5" for mine.

I think we used my stock belt. It may have been the 2" longer gatorback. Still... least of your worries. My AC still works but I'd definitely pulling it out. So sick of it adding weight and taking away space under the hood. ABS unit is getting deleted too.

I can.. send me a pm with all the data from your cam card and your compression and I'll zap it up for you. With longtubes you're going to do well.

guys.. that's a great deal for the parts he's got. There's almost his whole asking price just in the pistons and rods. Someone snap this up before he has to ebay it. 281... hate to see you ditch the stang man. LMK how things end up.

k... results are in. 279/332 running rich by a full point with no extra timing. numbers seem low but u gotta see the tq curve. there's no curve to it.

I'm pretty certain I can crack 300rwhp and 340tq just by cutting out a couple % of fuel and bumping the timing a hair. The baseline tune was intended to be über safe and it was. I'm happy as hell with the baseline pulls showing this much power. That's a good sign. Dyno graph coming in a few minutes.

BTW... I don't even want to get into the whole mustang dyno vs. dynojet dyno debate. Yeah DJ's read a tad higher. That's ok. I'll live with the lowest numbers being enough to make me happy.

I just got approved for my new car loan, and got the blank check from the bank - so I think its almost safe to say that the Mustang is outa here...

I'm going to be heading down to SoCal here pretty soon to get those longtubes to market. It should be pretty easy to deal with. That'll mean longtubes being a bolt on option for all of you not too long from now.

Closer than most of us, I just found out it will be another month to get my heads done, CnC porting is in the busy season right now, great! I have one set and this place does work for all the big names out there in lots of a hundred plus sets.

The dyno was set to sample from 2k to 5250. That was the part that was important to me for this run. I actually limited myself to 5500rpm and yes it was still climbing... there's probably another 10hp on tap if I run it to 6K with the existing tune but remember, the 2v is a midrange rpm engine. The previous run I shut it down at 5200 and it made similar tq but 269hp. I can run it to 6K no problem but this was just a baseline run and not one "for the record" so to speak.
I wanted to see what the thing pulled off with little or no tuning. I'm actually impressed as hell cuz this is right now a pretty over-safe tune. There's more in it yet.

yep. There's the old 6-12% dyno reading argument but I'm happy with 279 for now.

With the hp still climbing like it is, would you say a different cam would bring the torque peak down in the rpm. Or what else would we have to do to get the hp to peak at a lower rpm with out loosing the torque.

with the cam and intake setup I have it peaks at about 4k. To get down to 3K for a tq peak you'd want an intake with a little longer runner and a cam a little closer to a stage 1 like a comp xe262.
Any lower peak tq rpm would generally bring the peak value up. A more radical cam will generally bring the peak tq rpm higher and cost a bit of peak.
New numbers tomorrow afternoon. We'll see how it pans out.

Got your message bud, congrats again on the numbers! Id guess on a dynojet you would be close to 310rwhp. On a safe tune with no timing to boot! Remember you will probably gain more than a stocker will by adding timing IMO. Id say your setup with that intake(that is for a much smaller CI engine) would make close to 325 to the backs with timing and the fuel a little leaner. Put on the longtubes and the new 5.4 intake you guys are making and you will go beyond the 350rwhp number. All just a guess naturally but I still say your combo is going to put down more power/tq than anyone of us thought it was. Its not allways about the peak power, we(the net users) get caught up in peak numbers a lot of the time. I am guessing your car is going to be much more fun to drive than mine with the navi engine even though(assuming) I will be making more power.

I'm going to my appointment in about 2 hours. If I see the big differences in the rear wheel numbers then for my 3rd run today I'll pull a little fuel out of the tune and see how see does. Naturally and changes will be noted.
The tq curve on the navigator engine will depend heavily on the intake. If you're using the cams we spoke last about then I think you'll do fine at the low end you may drop a little tq but the top end pull will be plum mean compared to mine. I don't think you'll dislike it one bit.
