if u plan on getting a BJ then its recommended to stay no higher than 3.73.
4.10 will be a tad to much...u will break loose way to much and easily!

I've seen a couple people who were doing 4.10s and blown, though it's not recommended. Hopefully I'll have enough money one day for a s/c of my own and I plan to swap my gears to 3.73s.. on the bright side I shouldn't have a problem selling my 4.10s to someone

Its not recomend cause most people dont use drag radials and or slicks so they will just spin and waste more time. If you have good tires for the track it will be a great addition though you will be limited in your miles per hour you cna run.

Default ...................speechless

.... pussies - they are just mad bc they wussed out and wasyed their money - the 4.10 is very streetable - and will be the best thing for you - nobody buys used gears and the install will cost you 400 - so just get the 4.10's and then you wont have to sound like a wuss liek them with 3.73's - haha ohh yea and the rpms and all that are fine im turning 2400 @ 70 miles per hour - i still get great gas mileage - it all in how u drive it.... the supercharger with the 4.10 will be alot faster and like i said u'll be bale to have some diginity when u say u have 4.10's

Don't fear the gear. Lots of guys run 4.10's and blowers especially with an auto. It also depends on the blower choice too. 4.10's with a Kenn Bell is a bit different then with a Vortech.

I guarantee if u have 2 cars both with the same performance set-up's w/superchargers....and one car has 3.73's...and the other car has 4.10's.
The car with the 3.73's WILL have the better 1/4 time.

WHAT??!!?! are you talkin about?? As long as you have a good set of dr's or slicks, and don't run out of gear, the one with the 4:10's WILL be faster.

really what blown mod motor car do you know running that much gear in a 2v? you wont be able to trap higher then 110mphish which would suck. With 4.10's you would be banging the limiter at 120mph.

What limiter are you talking about? GT's don't have the 120mph limiter that V6's do.....AND since he has an auto, he had to get a chip or tuner to has his speedo set correctly so even if there was a limiter it could be programmed away....

And whoever said 3.73's + supercharger > 4.10's + supercharger is not thinking in terms of Auto vs stick....AUTOS NEED THE 4.10's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO, 3.73's are a better all-around gear for blown Mustangs PERIOD, for most drivers. 4.10's I bet would make launching a lot harder and you will need to shift into 5th most likely at the end of the run. This is not to say that 4.10's would not be fun. This is what I am doing. Hell, I already have the 4.10's and at this point I don't see the sense in spending the money just to pull them out.

Again though...HE HAS AN AUTO...so he already has a chip or tuner and can adjust or raise that...I have had both a 5spd and currently my 04 auto...it is a completely different animal....If we were talking about a 5 speed I couldn't agree with you more...but that Auto needs all the help it can get!

even with a raised limiter you dont wanna spin our motors past 6,500 unless it has been rebuilt with the good stuff to go higher. so like i said with 4.10's you will be hitting the limiter (in a manual). In an auto can it go much higher i dont think much.

I've asked questions about this as well. Just get some 28in ET Streets and some welds. That'll drop your gear ratio. But then again u will have to build your rear end. Just go to miles per hour or ModDepot. They have great info on blown cars.

yeah gears and traction is nice, but for most people who never go the track with anything more than street tires its a waste.
