tranny prob

i have a grind if i shift into third too fast even if im not racing i have to let the shifter go into neutral then put it into third to keep it from grinding and heard that there was a recall for the 3650 transmissions for some reason i was wondering if anyone had this happen and did ford fix it for them since my warranty is now over

http://forums.modulardepot.com/showt...threadid=32640 This has info about the TSB.

Definately get that TSB done. The 3650 has a nasty habit of popping out in 3rd at bad times.

Its a quazi-recall. If you take this to your local Ford dealer you can have them fix it for you free of charge, whether you are under your warranty or not. Some places you might have to bitch a bit more than others, but they are required to do it if requested.

Depends on if the parts are in stock or not. Its a 6 hour job, so depending on when the mechanic starts the job, it should take 2 days MAX from start to finish.
