Getting started 99 Cobra Vert

Hello, I have a 99 Cobra vert everything is stock except for my tri-ax shifter. I wan't to install headers, x pipe mufflers and a k member with coil overs. My problem is that I don't know what brand togo with. Some forums say Kooks headers others say BBS, what about JBA or Mac? And what does ceramic coating do for them? Also I was going to get a ground pounder K member but again I read the the maximum motorsports k member was the way togo. Anythoughts on that one? Depending on what headers are suggested will depend on what x pip and mufflers I will try and get. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

its all the smae really. me i wold buy the cheapest stuff for exhuast, mac long tubes and (blaaa) x-pipe with mac catback. go with the cheaper k-member and coilover setup. and ceramic coating makes the headers last longer and keep more heat out of the engie bay. if you can afford it get ceramic.

Dustin is really pretty right. A year ago, I would not have agreed with that comment. The only thing I might take issue with is the header selection (and I say "might"). Do yourself a favor and research headers a lot! You need to ask these questions for each header option:

1 - How much are they?

2 - How well will they fit with my other exhaust components?

3 - Ease of installation?

4 - Will trany work later be harder to do with the headers in the way?

5 - What are the HP gains?

6 - What is the reputation for leaking?

7 - What sound/tone am I striving for?

If I were to choose headers, I would go SLP LT's. Why? Simply because I have an SLP mid pipe and catback and I know they will all work well togther. Also, I believe in the hp gains from them and I love the sound.

Depending on your selection, you could get as little as no hp increase to as much as 15 or even 20 hp.

I know how you love to agree with me :)

I still love ya! After all, you live in FL and I am stuck in 2 feet of snow. So, who is wiser?

Here is my take on it.

I had the MAC lt's on my old stang. Bolted into a MAC o/r H pipe. I have heard of some people having rust issues with MAC headers, but I didn't have any. I got a shop to install them for $400, they had to drop the k member and all, so I didn't feel like doing it with ramps and all. Get a mid pipe that will go well with your headers also. Decide if you are going the o/r route or not.

Thanks for all the input I decided togo with the BBK long tube headers with bbk short h pipe. So far I have not been able to locate a short x pipe that will fit. And the car is my daily driver.
Thanks again everyone for your input.
