Remove it from the plenum by the two screws, then unhook the little wire looking thingy by unclipping it. Then get a can of brake clean/carb cleaner and spray all down inside the little hole. Get it as clean as you can and let it dry. Should dry pretty quickly. Now replace the same way you took it off, and then start her up.

alright i understand what your saying however unless i am thinking of the wrong part i see no screws at all...the IAC connects to the plenum and to the air intake via a rubber hose on each end, which i can just real easily pull off by hand, which i have done and as soon as i do that the car almost shuts off and then i plug it back in...but just to clarify for sure i DO NOT want to spray anything inside the little black box looking thing right?

Try pulling the 3/4 inch OD hose off just enough to get the hose of a can of carb cleaner inside and spray away. The car will still run and this should cause the IAC valve to operate as it tries to adjust the idle speed. This should give it a pretty good cleaning.
