Bullit intake or a new elbow?
 

I need some help deciding whether I should buy a whole bullit upper and lower manifold or just buy an accufab elbow and 75mm throttle body.

I have an 03 GT. The reason I am considering the bullit intake is because it has the metal lower intake manifold and I am running nitrous. Does the bullit intake make more power than just adding the elbow and throttle body.

The accufab elbow, throttle body, and gaskets will probably run me close to $500. The bullit upper and lower manifold along with the needed cobra alternator and the handful of other pieces will cost me upwards of $1750. Is it worth all that money?

I dont plan on running anything more than a 100 shot of zex.

keep the stock intake and put the accufab w/throttle body on it. save yourself some money for the bottle refills.

If you have the money and don't mind spending it, buy the bullitt manifold.

Well, this is only my opinion, but there are far better intakes for the same price of a bullitt. If you are serious about keeping the Nitrous and want to ever spray more than a 125 shot, go ahead and invest in the new intake. I would buy the Fox lake Intake if I was going to be spraying a lot of nitrous, but if you find the whole bullitt kit cheap, I guess you could go with that, but remember, the Fox lake, which showed (*I THINK) like 20rwhp gains at some places under the peak is only like 1299 all said and done. Just a thought for you, good luck with whatever you choose.

Accufab TB and plenum, more BANG for the buck. :thumbsup:

your stock intake will handle the 100 shot with out a problem so i would save the money and just buy the accufab plenum and t/b.

Has anyone seen a dyno chart showing how much power is made from swapping stock to bullit manifolds?

I have seen that an Accufab intake and 75mm throttle body should make about 15 HP at the wheels. Has anyone here actually done before and after dyno runs with the elbow/TB ?

Im leaning toward the Accufab elbow because Im only planning on running a 75 shot.

I have the C & L with a Accufab 75mm, you will see 8 hp gain from them.
If you run your nitrous safely with a good tune and a window switch you should be fine. The Bullitt is nice but 1300 bucks, I would do the Fox Lake kit same price better power.

Both ideas are OK but if you're going to spend that kind of green I'd buy a p-51 intake
