Default S/C packages.

Why do the S/C manufacturers not sell complete packages.Kits that would have, the supercharger, cams, exhaust, and a computer tuning chip included. This would take the guesswork out of the choices. The company that did the head porting on my Sportster ground their own cams to compliment the head work. They would also suggest carburetors and exhaust combo's.This worked VERY well, just ask any of the crotch rocket pilots around town. If that would price them out of buisness, they could give a list of parts that would work with the S/C to give optimum power increases.Cams are the hardest to choose because of the many different profiles available. With some help in this area alone,it would save many $$$$$ and sleepless nights. The individual cam manufacturers can help through their tech lines, but they want to sell their brand,so won't normally tell you about another grind that might work better. So,with all this being said, what do you think?

My guess would be because a blower kit is pretty expensive to begin with. Plus people want so many diffrent things from their cars/blowers that it would be very time consuming to R&D a major kit like that.

A few years back Excessive Motorsports offered combo's with Superchargers, Mass Air, Injectors, H/C/I, etc.... and I believe the price for that kit was close to $10k.. thats a hard pill to swallow all at once.

Then a parts list, something you could cross part numbers off of when funds are available.Believe me I could'nt go with a 10,000 dollar kit all at once. The Chief Financial Officer of my vast empire(my LOVELY and understanding wife)would never stand for that.

While they don't do that, they can sometimes reccomend a good cam to go with their S/C. Or you could check out MM&FF for their opinions.
