Ive had my 3.8 for about a year when a person around the corner wrecked his 95 cobra he offered to sell it to me for 1,500 so i bought it it has 75,000 on the engine and idecided to put it in my 3.8 body because the cobra was totaled but i need to know if the 3.8 k member will work with the 4.6 i also need to know what tranny came with the 95 4.6 cobra because he was planing on keeping it and took it out of the car but he took the clutch fork clutch lines and just about everything else for the tranny there is no id numbers on the tranny and the person moved so i can't ask him.....anyone know and/or have what i need?? please help!!!!

i've got a friend who did a conversion just like this to his v6 mustang. he dropped in an '01 cobra engine though. his name is ken and he can be found at speedconcepts.net
btw, the 95 had the 5.0L in it still. ![]() |

k-member works for sure.
you will however need a trany, driveshaft,wiring harness for th emotor ecu for the motor and other small dumb things.

95's are still 5.0's .The 4.6 didnt come in the cobra to 96..

Might want to check the K memeber, I was told a while back that I would need a different one when I was going to swap a 5.0 in my 98? I could very well be wrong though.
Like Spike Said, you will need ECU, wiring harness, tranny, I am assuming you bought the whole Cobra so swap the 8.8 in, driveshaft, the 7.5 rear won't last long, new gauge cluster (you can use the v6 one, but it will be off).
