Exclamation Help...chirping sound from engine

Today I noticed a chirping sound from my engine and the strange part is I only hear it when I'm in reverse or drive and the brake is depressed. Not sure about what is causing that. Any help to diagnose would be appreciated.

It only makes that chirping sound when the brake is depressed? it must be suttin with your breaks then....other than that I would have said its your throw out bearing going if u didnt mention that it only makes the sound when u have the brake in...... hmm

It could be the belt tensioner.I think Ford was using up all the old parts to make room for the 05 year parts. To find out have someone sit in the car with the E brake set and you listen under the hood.Automatics don't have throwout bearings.

Thanks Chopper. You were right on. Ford is going to replace it after extensive work trying to "recreate" the noise. (So they said).
