More Power- Accufab Plenum 75mm Throttle Body OR Bullitt Intake

I have a accufab plenum now with 75mm throttle body, wondering if it would be beneficial for me to swap over to a bullitt intake and throttle body. I would like to add some power and havea few other things in mind but is this mod worth it or woudl it produce the same pwoer gains that my accufab did? 'm consued and don't want to waste money but have heard these bullitts flow a bit better

TRUE OR NOT TRUE?

stick with what u have...converting to the bullitt intake for the $$$ u would pay is not worth the few extra ponies if that....

Id personally just stick with the accufab as well.

Depends

The bullitt intake can run upwards of $1200 - and is only worth that for those looking for its good looks or the few ponies it will squeeze out of an otherwise stock setup.

If you go whole-hog after the na route, ie, ported and polished heads, big cams, new springs, retainers, maybe a new bottom end with forged goodies or even a stroker - certainly, a case can be made for the bullitt.

For 99% of us, no.

For the 1% (and you know who you are), sure.

the consensus is that they both will make about the same PEAK increase on a N/A motor but the bullitt is said to make i'ts gains accross the board. ON a boosted motor the bullitt is well worth it.

if you were to build a whole motor, you might as well skip the bullit and buy a p-51

people with bullit intakes are generally blown

My words exactly.......to bad the P-51 is so expensive

P-51

Yea, I really like Fox Lake - they also do a good job with machine work on heads, by the way - but the price is steep and the looks of the thing trouble me - sort of harkens back to the early prototype 5.0 aftermarket intakes.

The bullit is a sleaker looking design - and can take a considerable amounting of port matching to help flow if needed.

Also, most bullit owners are, well, bullit owners (came stock on the limited edition stang) and the huge majority of them are na. MMFF a few months back had a na shootout where the top 2 (maybe 3 - but I know for sure the top 2) finishers were 12.0 second cars with bullit intakes. So they definitely work.

But by the time you buy a new one and install it, you're halfway to a blower...

Hard to justify the cost by itself, and probably even harder to justify the P-51 since it costs even more.
