Exhaust

Looking around at AmericanMuscle, Im just wondering which cat backs will be an easy set up to my stock 2001 GT.
Seems like everything is just slightly different. First mod on the car and i just want it all to fit. Just looking for a nice beefy sound.
Ive always liked Bassani and Magnaflow..... But i dont know if its the way the sample pictures were taken, but it seems like every brand i like is just a straight pipe.

any thoughts, opinions or suggestions?

Next question, does Bassani sell a catted x pipe?

Does your area in Canada have emissions testing? If not, then an off-road (cat-less) x-pipe opens up the exhaust and has great sound. I got the Pypes off-road x-pipe and love the throaty sound. I had intended to do flow master 40 mufflers too, but just switching the mid pipe gave me the sound I loved and the performance boost I wanted.

I am considering doing an off-road X-pipe (no emissions test here) and Magnaflow catback exhaust on my '04 GT, and was just curious if this is something that would benefit greatly from using a SCT X-4 handheld scanner and dyno tuning? I really don't want to pay all the extra money for the latter if I don't have to (or if the HP gains are minimal), plus there is no performance auto shop anywhere near me to do the work. Any advice is appreciated, thanks all.
