Battery Light
 

Car has a new battery and alternator no under drive pullies but my battery light is flashing once in a while. Mostly at night stock battery gauge shows charge going down does it sound like something loose or maybe belt slipping or worn?

Where did the alternator come from and how old is it?

Brand new alternator from autozone been in about three weeks with no problems

The AC will put a pretty good amp load on the alternator and at night with lights and sound system. Were you at an idle when this happened or were you at cruise speed.
If you were at idle, the next time it happens, give the engine a couple hundred rpms and see if the voltage jumps back up. When you turn your AC on does your engine rpm raise by itself?

Also, do you have any added accessories such as a beefy sound system thumping at low rpm n such?

If revving the engine up a little solves the problem you can get an OVERDRIVE pulley for the alternator. And that will fix the problem, but sounds like that alternators dying anyways. When I get my HO alternator, it was dying out on me, and I had to send it back in. SO I'd probably send it back.

So all that happend last night while driving it wasn't showing a god charge lights seemed dim. At idle charge went almost rock bottom tried a little rev up and nothing light turned green and took off normally all the sudden everything went normal the next 1/2 mile to home as I pulled in to park lights were dim. Didn't even see the car today long day at work.

Take it back to AutoZone and get new a one. (alt.) Sounds like the regulator is bad.
