Default O2 Sencor HELP

Ok people my 97 gt has this engine light that needs to go!!!! PO135 Heater O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 . I have No Cats on the car with a 3 in ex. running out into a set of Flows. I have read some reviews and check fuses do i need a tuner or mil. Somebody help my GT is not a happy horse

If I'm not mistaken, that code is for the front O2, on the passenger side. Sounds like you're more than likely gonna have to replace it.

That code is saying the front passenger O2 sensor's heater circuit is toast. Either you have a break in the wiring (unlikely) or the sensor is done. Replace the sensor.

Thanks guys i just don't want to spend a ton of money getting this horse on it's feet . Would this sensor problem make it run and idle like SH@*?. AND WHAT KIND BOSH OR NGK

Yeah it wont run worth a damn, Most people suggest going with Ford for the O2. When I got one for mine, it was about the same price if not alittle cheaper.

the rear o2's just check cat efficiency, the fronts actually do the meat of running the engine (together with the MAF). Replace and then disconnect battery for 10 mins. then drive around for 1 hour. Done.

Don't run any o2 sensors other then FORD OEM ones. There have been some studies that show the aftermarket ones suck. www.rockauto.com has the best prices on oem motorcraft o2 sensors that I have found so far.

I just replaced all 4 in my 1998 GT went with ford...

dont be surprised if you need to swap all 4.....

If you're not running cats, the rear O2's are pointless.

OK i just put in my 02 sensor so me and the wife take it everything is running awesome then the check engine light again now it's has codes p1443 and p0420 i know that the p0420 is the back 02 sensor but what the hell is a cainster purge soleniod and thermistor/flow sensor . Thanks Guys

O the 02 sensor needed replaced that fixed one problem now i have 1 more
