5.4 32v swap

Hi Guys

I am a newbie to this sight and this might have been asnwered exactly already but some threads are so looonnng that it is hard to find the correct answers.

I have an '01 GT that is in need of an engine (old one is already out ).
I need to have this done at a shop (they really know what the are doing) and have a few options:
1) buy a low mileage 4.6l 3valve with Ford Motorsport wiring harness. (M-6017-463V) Gives me a nice newer engine that will give me more power easily but modifications are needed.
2) buy a reman 5.4 32v. More power and torque but also heavier (not sure by how much)
3) 5.4 2valve. almost same $$ as 32v (when reman)
4) same as I had, which I would hate because I would want more power.

I tried to fnd a nice write up on the 5.4 32v swap but find mostly the 2v swap.
I would like to keep it stock (or maybe cams) except for the HPS intake.

Please keep in mind that I do road race the car so superchargers are not great (too much heat buildup +$$)

Thanks for any links or direction.

I would say just go with the 5.4 2V. It will make some sick torque and the information youll find about the swap is plentiful.

Its all pretty straight forward bolt in, except the intake and exhaust. The 4v will require alittle wiring, as in adding wire to the existing harness.

Just so you know the HPS will only fit a 2v.

If you want to go 4v,

It speaks for it self really.
