HELP,Temperature Gauge not working

Default HELP,Temperature Gauge not working

I just bought a 2005 gt and everything is fine on the car but the temperature gauge does not work.It has coolant but the gauge always stays cold.I called autozone and they just said that i may have wired everything wrong,can anybody tell me where this wire may be at or what should i do?

Is this the stock gauge or aftermarket?

Regardless on either the first place to start is checking the sending unit. Add a 12v power source to the wiring going to the sender. If the gauge moves, you know what is wrong.

Thanks,onemore thing,where is this sending unit located? I just got the car so i really dont know where all the little components are located.

I have no idea where it is on a 05+ car.
