clutch adjuster

I am putting a new clutch in my 99 gt next week, i want to order a clutch adjuster or clutch quadrant as everyone says that is the way to go when putting a new clutch in. Which one should I get thers a steeda one and a maximum motorsports one on american muscle which is where i will buy from..just lemme know which is best

I have this kit on my 2000gt http://www.americanmuscle.com/noname3.html
and it made a big difference. The MM parts are quality products as well so it's going to come down to brand prefferance and how much you want to spend.

I agree its the same shit basically just pick which one is cheaper if you ask me on this item.

alright, thats probably the one id go with, but i think i have heard other people say not to use the aftermarket clutch cable?? dont know if thats true or not

Aftermarket is known to stretch and break way easier then a stock setup. No need for two adjustment points anyhow. Just get the firewall adjuster and a clutch quadrant and your good to go.

MM or nothing. They are the ones that deal w/ Ford's large tolerances the best.

stretching of the cable i think is the main problem. i have the steeda kit with the cable and everything. problem is, i dont move the adjuster and yet it still manages to walk itself out to the top, now my adjuster is all the way in and still worked itself right back out to the top, shit pisses me off. you guys think the stretching is the issue or could it be the bell housing adjuster needs tightening as i havent even looked at that thing yet. my car is so low its too damn inconvenient to lift it or pull it over the water filled pit.

Don't know what to tell you, I stay away from adjustable cables.

if my cable is shot then i'm prolly going to dish out the money for an oem cable, and just hope it fits with my firewall adjuster.
