Default Best 3v heads available?

So can anyone tell me what company has come out with the best heads for 3v modulars? MMR's STG 3 heads flow (according to them) 306/222, and are supposed to yield 45-50 hp on N/A applications. They seem to be the best so far, but I figured I would ask you guys if you had seen anything better... TIA.

MMR's give the best n/a power and of course have the biggest lope sound out of any of the other modular cams. From talking to other guys I've never actually hear anyone get them though. Everyone seems to go Comp or Crower and call it a day.

LOL. I said heads, not cams

Hey r3d.. Is there any way that you could run a quick sim for me? 3v 4.6 with stock CR, MMR stg 3 heads, 1 5/8" longtubes, catted 2.5" h-pipe, 3" catback, CAI, and it would be tuned for 93 octane. I may also pick up a twin 62 throttle body and C&L intake manifold at some point, though I'll have to see what people think of that manifold after it comes out.

need cam info... depending on the cam you could quite possibly hit 370rwhp with stage 3 3v heads.

Not sure on cam. Will it allow you to input the specs for the stock cam? I'd love a set of Hitech stg II's, but they don't make them for 3v's Maybe someone else could chime in as to what the best duration, etc. would be for my setup? Then you could go with that..

did it... nothing overly impressive. A decent street motor. Still a 4.6 with kinda laggy tq build until 3000rpm then it comes on. Needum better cam if you're going to throw that much head flow at it... and spin the **** out of it. I did a little playing on the sim with the quick iterator tool and with the flow of those heads it needed less intake duration and more exhaust duration to really shine and I got way better numbers at high and low rpm.

Alright.. I can try to find a better cam. I know you said it was poor, but what were the actual numbers? And as far as the heads go, I just realized that MMR offers a Stg 3 P&P for $800. I think I'll go with that over spending $2500 on their Stg 3 heads. You lose a little over the heads (40hp compared to 45-50,) but you save a ton of money. Something tells me that the extra power from their heads comes from the fact that they replace the factory valves.
