Default Safe to put much power under a convertible

Hey everyone, didn't really know where to put this so i hope i guessed right. I am just wondering if it is safe to put very much power under a 2004 convertible GT. I have heard that because of the soft top it is not as strong as a hardtop and might warp the frame.

Get full length subframe connectors and reinforce the torque boxes.

def, what he said. get the full length ones steeda makes. they come with plates that get welded onto your torque boxes and really re-enforce the undercarrige.

You can add as much power as you want too. You just have to stiffen up the chassis to accommodate the power. Only downfall with a vert is the extra weight otherwise you can toss as much power at them as a coupe.

Can't add anything other than that if your in high school as your username suggests (from '07) and are worried about safely adding power to your car, you deserve a small pat on the back.

I've got a bit of power on this vert. Like 03gtmustang said welded full length subframe connectors and reinforce the torque boxes.

Yeah, its a 2004 gt convertible. The reason I want to do this safely is cause I bought this thing lol and in highschool that meant a lot of time and effort finding a good job and working for it. Thanks for the quick replies and advice guys
