I have a 2008 Mustang GT with a few bolt on modifications, I have a Diablo Predator tuner now. Would I come out better to buy the SCT Livewire or keep what I have. I have read that the SCT Livewire is the best but is it worth spending the extra money? Can they send a custom tune for the add ons that I have and be correct with it? below is a list of the modifications.

find a shop that tunes using diablo software. i wouldnt use a mailorder.

 

id find out what your nearest tuner uses and use the same tuning equipment they do. that way if they do a tune..saying using Diablou can fine tune it if and when u do more upgrades.

I bought an XCal2, and my local dyno uses only Diablo.

IMO i prefer SCT because you have additional variables you can change and get everything out of your car. Although diablo is simplier. But if you are having a local shop do it then you will have to use what they use. If they use both I would go with the SCT SF3, no point to spend the extra money on the Livewire unless you want the display, and you could point that money towards a tune.

 

You will not gain more power from switching tuners. The power comes from te tune not the device that installs it.
