Default For those of you who did the 5.4 swap,

I have a question, will the 5.4 fit in perfect like the 4.6? im thinking about builing one, but i would like to put a kenne bell s/c on it, but i keep thinking about the hood clearance. im getting a 95 cobra R hood, so will that be enough room for that engine and supercharger?

when i helped a friend do his drop, it was a little tight. but in the end everything hooked up almost perfectly. the most trouble we had was reinstalling the fuel lines. i told him to just get some 47lbs injectors but he was rather persistant on getting thicker plumbing, yet still did the heavy duty injectors. as for the hood room im sorry but we didnt put a sc on it.....yet....so i couldnt tell you. worse comes to worse just cut out a dam hole and fiberglass a new scoop on it yourself. thats what another friend did with his car.....remember that one with the paint i posted that no one liked cause of the $ signes....that guy.

anyways the 5.4 is a great investment and ide love to see how it looks for you when your done aswell. maybe you can give us some tips on what YOU did with the hood

like i said i would have to ask.....i really hate wiring and know jerk all about it. if u gotta wire a sound system im fine with that....under the hood....im all mechanical.
as for even thinking about doin the swap yourself.....dont. unless you have a car lift and an engine jack in your garage its rather tedious work. the total process took us a week in his garage and hes a master tech of 10 odd years now.

Read the 5.4 sticky. It's long but it answers everything.

Hey! I can actually agree with bassman97 on that one!

Come on over and ask all the questions. We don't mind.
