Check Charging System on an '05?
I have an '05 GT and every once in a while, my car will alert me with a 'Check Charging System' warning on my dash.
It's happened 4 times in 4 months. I don't notice anything out of order when the light is on. No abnormal battery drainage from the gauge, no lights dimming, or anything else. I also roll my window down to listen and/or smell for anything abnormal. When the 'CCS' warning comes on, I normally only have my radar detector on, my radio on, and the car is running. No A/C, no lights, no factory alarm or anything else will be on. My father has checked the voltage on the battery and it has always been fine. The light never stays on for more than about 15 seconds at a time. It stays on long enough for me to check all my systems by the info/reset buttons, and then it goes off. When it does happen, it doesn't worry me. It's just more of a 'what the fuck???' type of thing. Does anyone else have this problem, or does anyone have an idea of what could cause it?
