some of you guys may remember me, the cobra that was always knocking. even after a rebuild. i think burning oil as well. still knocking but cant afford to fix now. and now im gettin this code. i have an SCT xcal2. this problem is correctable i hope? if so where? and and cars been rod knocking for a good 6 months. any ideas how much more life it has? and why tha heck do my mac lt headers keep loosening from my mac h pipe? thanks

How are you sure that it is a rod knocking? I would think that if it has been knocking that long that it could go at any time.

Do you have or do you have access to a fuel pressure guage? If you dont have an Autometer in car guage the cheaper way to go would be to go to shucks or Autozone and pick up a pretty cheap dial FP guage that you can twist onto a fuel line and see real time what your pressure is.

Did you just throw a new tune into it? Do you get the engine light after romping on it, or all of the time? I have the xcal 2 also and I know that there are some parameters that you can manipulate, but I am not sure how many of them you can change. FP might be one of them. If you have been running on this same tune though for a while, I would suspect that you have a componant that is failing or getting ready to fail. Does your fuel economy stink?
