Cam Problem!
 

Just put comp cams and springs in the car. The car starts fine but after a few minutes at idle we are getting a rapping or ticking sound from under the right side valve cover. We pulled it apart to make sure everything was still together and check to see that we didn't drop something in the cylinder. The retaining clips were all there and and everything was fine as well as the compression. Anyone have any ideas?

which cam? did you degree them?

the are comp xe270ah and the valve springs to go wit. yes we degreed them.

if you're sure there's no PTV you could have a sticky lash adjuster. They're fairly cheap and you don't have to pop the cam to replace them. That would be where I'd start.

Did you bleed the lifters?

no we didn't, how exactly do you do that?
