estimates on how much hp im making?

ok i just wanna know what you guys think of how much power my car is making. just a rough ball park you guys seem to know about power outputs more than i do so here is my car an mods.

01 gt honed and bored .30 over, mahle forged pistons and rods, fully ported pi heads with all new valves, crower stg 2 cams and valve springs, mac fenderwell intake, accufab 70mm tb an plenium, 1.5 inch intake spacer, bbk u/d pullies, 4.10s w/new bearing an seal kit, hooker longtubes, hooker offroad xpipe, slp loud mouth 1 catback, sct2 programmer, royal purple oil lol, and i believe that is all. thanks for those who give me estimates:D

jareds98gt 02-18-2008 11:57 AM

compression?

Lances03SVT 02-18-2008 01:49 PM

Around 300 rwhp I'd say.Get a custom tune and it will be better.

WaterDR 02-18-2008 01:56 PM

300 - 310.....325 tops depending on those heads.

Do you still have stock injectors?

99MustangGTman 02-18-2008 05:21 PM

310-320 with some nice dyno tune time

blownstang 02-18-2008 09:02 PM

around 310rwhp

blackstallion25 02-20-2008 11:27 AM

compression is a lil over 10:5:1

blackstallion25 02-20-2008 11:27 AM

and yes i have the stock injectors and maf i wanna upgrade but not sure what to go with

blackstallion25 02-20-2008 11:28 AM

now would these estimates be to the wheels or the crank>?

jjtgiants 02-20-2008 11:33 AM

At the wheels for sure.

So is the SCT2 tune a box tune or did someone try to create a tune for you cause I just have a hard time grasping why you'd do all that great work to your car and then not have it dyno tuned properly. Not being critical, just want to see your car run to it's full potential and not be damaged by a "out of the box" tune.

blackstallion25 02-21-2008 11:03 AM

the guy who tuned it got a fresh tune from sct and hand tuned it, it runs great and has really strong shifts(its an auto). why i havent got it dyno tuned is because i dont have the money to get it dyno tuned i dunno about other states but in pa its like 150-200 an hour for dyno tuning thats alot of dough for me im 20 a full time student an work alot to pay for my school. i hope to get it tuned this summer though.

blackstallion25 02-21-2008 11:04 AM

my car was featured in a car craft last year for those who want to see it or dunno if anyone has seen it, but anyways so to the wheels is less hp than the crank correct? or the numbers you guys are saying are to the wheels but i add how much percentage on top of that to get my numbers at the crank?

if you can't afford to get it tuned properly how did you afford all the other shit?

r3dn3ck 02-21-2008 01:10 PM

you don't need a dyno to tune it necessarily but you do need a dyno to tune it safely and legally as it's usually not a good idea to go doing 3rd or 4th gear runs to redline through your neighborhood (2nd gear is at redline too fast to get a good read of what's going on in midrange for tuning purposes in my book)

If you'd take the time and go to a dyno you only really have to pay the 45-100 bucks for a quick set of wideband O2 logged runs. Then you come on here and post your printouts and if you need an adjustment you'll be told so. You need to make sure you're not getting detonation or overly lean/rich conditions or you're risking your fancy new motor.

EDIT: BTW... I think the boys are guessing a little high. I'm going to guess 285-301rwhp depending on how well the heads were done. Crower likes big lift but they lag a little in the duration department which I can see costing some peak power.

I don't know, that's kind of what I was saying in my post.

Add about 15-18% to get your crank power, but crank power doesn't mean anything....it's the rear wheel hp that counts.

I'm assuming you are talking about car craft magazine. do you have a link to the article on your car, I'd love to see it.

blackstallion25 02-24-2008 08:01 PM

because i worked my ass off for a while before i started going full time and upped my credits in college, and i got into an accident an got dough.

singlesupra 02-26-2008 06:30 PM

THrough the auto Id say 280whp. I say just enjoy the car, as long as its safe let it ride till you can afford to throw it on the dyno

yeah until you screw your engine for running to rich or lean lol

blackstallion25 02-28-2008 01:28 PM

Ive had some very wild combos and NA some were driven for quite a while before I had time to get to the dyno and the tune was HORRIBLE and I have yet to have any issues other than minor PITA's from it. Since he is NA I hardly doubt he will blow his engine, it would have to be very rough running(and he didnt mention that)
