EDIT:

So it was not super hard to do but you need too understand the fittings you're gunna use.

A LOT of leak action to chase down and fix which took like 2 hours to get through. Note to those thinking about it, aftermarket rails seem to be kinda bitchy about sitting flat and level on the injector. ANY deviation from true = leak. The AN fittings don't need much to be tight but the hoses MUST be assembled correctly or they'll leak. I use Teflon racing hose almost exclusively which is more expensive but there's no rubber to age and that type of hose end either leaks or it don't... there's no seeping which I kinda like.

I put a Trick Flow inline filter into the mix so there's one more bit between my injectors and any crud that makes it from the tank. I'm fixin'a take all the fuel lines back to the tank and replace them with braided line and AN fittings. At this point it's entirely for the cool factor but I'm down with a little cool factor. I've still got to put in the twin focus pumps and a 22gallon fuel cell so I can make it 300 miles on a tank cruising and at least 110 miles at high throttle angles (like Silver State Classic).

it sure is! I just got the idle nailed. For anyone that tunes their own car... cammed cars seem to like the idle AF to be a little fat. If it hunts you may want to try adding some fuel at idle. Worked like a charm for me just adding 10%

Very nice, how much did the parts for that set-up end up costing?.

r3dn3ck 11-18-2007 07:04 PM

about 350 all in for the rails and the fittings and filters. Gunna cost me another 300 soon enough. I need to get yet another set of injectors. These 21's are not able to keep up. I've got a set of 32's I may try but they're kinda old. I'd rather have brand spankin new squirters.

I counted 44 AN fittings (not counting hoses) under my hood today. A low ball average cost per fitting is 6 bucks. There's 50 more in my box-o-goodies. Summit ownz me.
