Power plus Typhoon Intake Manifold

i was just wondering if that intake manifold is worth the money and i need pi heads to have it fit right. what is the process of switching the heads on my 98 gt to the pi's?

Not good at all in stock form. If you spend alot of time and port it you can get some gains otherwise it isnt worth it.

And yes, you should change heads to PI heads. You don't HAVE to but you should anyway. It's cheap power.

The typhoon itself is nothing special. You'll have to port it just to get stock performance out of it. I like the Bullit and HPS intakes much better, depending on application. If you're on a budget then buy someone's used post 01 PI intake/heads/cams and do the whole top side.

For most NA applications the aftermarket intakes are a waste of money. Ford did well with the PI intake. If you have cams then you can take advantage of the hotter manifolds a little but still not enough to justify the cost.

Trick Flow has released a 2V intake IF these guys deter you away from the PP one. I personally don't know of any majority (for/against) but if you ask around a couple who have it don't like it and just about everyone who doesn't have says they don't like it either. But if it where my money I'd probably go with the Trick Flow for inexpensive(relatively) power...

Id go bullitt over trick flow for the cost, and still be able to run a supercharger in the future, and not have to keep replacing altenators due to failure from being spun in reverse.

HPS... shorter runners and massive plenum and bolts right up and costs less than all of them I think...
