Default heater core bypass question

Im going to go ahead and start from the beginning.....First off I had a heater hose on the firewall burst and I replaced it with a standard heater hose from advanced auto. Two days later my intake manifold cracked at the thermostat housing. Replaced that with the typhoon. Next I got strong coolant odors from my vents and coolant spilling on my foot so I bypassed the heater core all together since it is getting warmer. Does anyone know why all of this would happen within a week? I flushed my radiator and did a pressure test on the cap and it was good. Also I need some advice as to how to get rid of the coolant smell which is still strong and at night my windshield still fogs up a little. Im sure it will go away but just need some advice. Thanks.......

The reason it blew is because in the factory line going to the heater it has a reducer inside that slows the coolant going down so it doesnt over pressure the heater core and blow it out. When you replaced the line wihtout it let more coolant go threw. Also your car doesnt have the metal crossover at the front so the extra pressure and plastic front ment boom stock manifold (common problem).

The heater core then died from age and too much water pressure. Just another reason in my book to run underdrive pulleys and have less water pressure and more HP

Sorry about your car bro my 99 f150 did the same things i just by passed it and sent straight from the outlet back into the motor.
