You should get a sound clip. I would love to hear what that sounds like.

tail pipes are just so ugly... they disturb the flow of the car's line. I think cars look better when you can't see any exhaust. Kinda the opposite of kids... pipes should be heard and not seen.

Well, just got to take it out and drive it some. I'm not like'n the fumes. It got kind of bad after a while. Maybe it I went over the rear end and dumped it there it would be better. Any thoughts?

have your dumps trimmed a little. They're pointing toward the tires now so maybe if you point them a little more directly back and out it will be better. I'm not gunna BS you though... there will always be fumes and stoplights in the winter can be dangerous if you're not paying attention to the smell and cabin ventilation.

My dumps point almost directly to the rear of the car. Partly to keep the sound waves from bouncing off the ground so violently and partly to keep the fumes heading to the back of the bus.

they can be awful close to the tires and not be a problem. Point the tips down or down and directly back... unless the tips are far enough back that the gasses won't be hitting the tire. you just don't want the stream pointed directly at them. Why heat them up beyond the design intent.

i also have went the route of hackin off those nasty lookin uneven pipes on my 98. the only problem i saw with having the pipes go strait back was that the hot air from the exhaust was drying up the gear diff. fluid and causing a nasty little tick at times when i would accelerate. but after i had them turned down it was fine. but other than that i love the way my car sounds with the exhaust hacked off and shorty hheaders
