I have the Ford Racing 4.30's in an automatic you would be fine with them in a 5 speed. Jason Madi98gt has 4.30's in his 98 5 speed. Check out his launch in the video section, 1.61 sixty foot times!

I don't see how you would finish the 1/4 with 4:30's. I rap out 4th with my 4:10's at like 105-110, with 4:30's you would have to shift into 5th.

a friend of mine recently took off 4.30s on his 2000 GT with a 150 shot of nitrous. He went well into 5th gear in the quarter.

I go thru the traps at 6,000 - 6,200 rpm with mine at 103-107 miles per hour. That is with a 275/15/50 Nitto drag radial which is the same height as stock tires. That is perfect, you want to cross the lights around your shift point. You would have a little more gear left with a manual over my auto.
If I was running a power adder I would run 4.10's or 3.90's or race with a taller tire to bring the gear down a little.
