you can find all this stuff for half the price used.. check corral.net forums and such.

You can even get new ones cheaper. Buy all the parts seperate and shop around online you should be able to get it for less then 1,500. I spent 700 on heads 190 on the mainfold, and 100 on the cylinder head changing kit. Thats 990 and other then that the only thing I needed was the manifold gaskets and they werent that much.

if you were going to buy everything in a kit new then go with this]

Thanks for the help decided on http://www.parkwayperformance.com/2vheadswap.asp

Is it hard to do the swap by yourself?
|
i heard it was pretty hard if you haven't done anything engine related before. i myself haven't ever done it but might be trying it soon. i would recommend on buying a shop manual such as Haynes before doing the swap. also search the internet for head swap right ups. from what i've researched, it is about a weekend job for two people that have some experience.
|
yeah i know how to take it apart and put it back together but dont you have to time the cams or something like that?
|
You could definitely find them cheaper slightly used or new on the boards. I just did last week. I would look around unless you just don't feel like worrying about it.

I'm not too familiar with the modular market...
but heads are definately a great idea... just shop around |
Just found out it not the head gasket that it is the pass. head is warped by the firewall. for now but new PI heads on the way:)
