Default Diablo Tuner Problem On Trany!!!!!!

I have an automatic 98 Gt
These are my mods
underdrive pulleys
intake spacer
3:73 motive plus differentials
18x10 in back and 18x9 (Heavy rims)
Cold air intake and a few extra bolt ons

Question: What do you guys think is the best tune for my trany on the diablosport tuner. Speaking of torque modulation, shift points, all that other stuff that you can do with the tuner for the trany. Can someone give me a tune that they would work good with my stang but that is not to stressfull on my transmission. something that is really but wont harm too much my trany. THANKS And if possible what spark advance should i use (i have a borla x pipe no cats w/borla pros x) so it will spit all those fumes out fast!!!!!!!

Dude here is what I have on my turbocharged 00, on torque modulation I have it maxed. The reason for this is that I dont want any power taken away during an upshift. You will also have to raise your line pressure to engage the clutch packs and band with more force. this will actually prolong the life of you trans, low line pressure = clutch pack slip = shorter trans life. Make sure that when you adjust the line pressure you do it equally for all gears. Its worked for me. You might also want to think about installing an aftermarket trans cooler too.

I second that. Max shift pressure make it feel like the old transmissions with a shift kit. Kicks pretty hard in 2nd and 3rd.

So your saying that by maxing out all my gears equally. Their is not harm on my completly stock transmission (except for the 3:73). Thats kind of hard to believe?

rasing the line pressure will over time (alot faster then noraml) wear out the front pump and damage the transmission. Dont use that fuction in place of a shift kit, valve body, or the jerry-mod.

Trust me, dont do it.

I'm trying to really understand what you are saying here. Are you saying that any tune that firms up the shift points is bad? For an auto, that's the major advantage of having a tune for a basically stock car isn't it?

changing the shift points is the best part for a auto transmission, not rasing the line pressure. And yes rasing the line pressure is bad for any tranny. Dont be chepa and use that function as if its a shift kit, valve body,or the jerry-mod.

Trust me i went threw 3 AODE's with my f150. I learned all about all kinds of things with those trannys. My first one blew because of the added line pressure ate the front pump up in about a years time.

Dustin is right. Raising the shift pressure is bad for the tranny and will ruin it over time. If you want harder faster shifts then do it the right way with a JMod. Posts #2 and 3 are perfect examples of what NOT to do.

ace1_15, youll be fine with stock shift points.
