Default The shaker hood system

I have a black 99 mustang and i was thinking about getting the shaker hood upgrade. I wanted to know if you guys thought it was worth the price of the system, the new hood, and the paint job. How much of an increase in horsepower is it?

On a dyno, you wouldn't see nothing unless they had a big fan in front of it to mimic as if you were driving it. it's good for your top end power. probably not alot though. but i do like the shaker system, and some cams to make it shake would look sweet.

Yeah its more of a looks peice than performance. Im sure it gives more gains than a cold air intake but I cant see more than 3 or 4 hp.

ha ha....maybe if you hit like 250 mph you could get some 3-4 lbs of boost! That would be sweet.

if ur gonna get the shaker system..than get the KarKraft.com piece..not the cdc....

the karkraft is made out of the OEM Mach Shaker hood scoop with a different bracket so you can use the ford mach 1 hood thus not cutting a hole in ur existing hood...

I personally think the shaker system is a glorified cold air intake.

JLT, save the money unless you want it for looks.
