Without a doubt, I would say get it. I'm not an expert on shifters so...I just followed suit and went off of reviews a few years ago. Im glad I listened and feel it was money well spent.

It was my first mod and probably the one I'm most happy with. Throws are nice and short, and I never miss third. A must have.

This should be the first mod anyone does! Unless of course it is an auto...now that would be funny. I wonder how many ricers have tried that one.

Seriously, this is a great mod. Your car will feel amazing driving on it the first time. Installation is pretty simple, but there are a few tricks.
1 - Be sure to have the correct type of silicone sealant 2 - make sure you have a nice set of tools and don't start removing the old one w/o the correct size of ratchet fittings. 3 - Give yourself 2 hours. I could do it again in 30 minutes. 4 - Be sure to follow the instruction to the letter when setting the stainless stops. Good luck!

Have you ever seen one? There is MUCH more to it than just a short handle. However, I do think they all the after-market ones are pretty similar (B&M, Hurst, Steeda, etc...). Some of them look identical, but it is much different than stock.

A friend with a '99 GT has one and likes it. I've driven his to check it out and there is a HUGE difference. No missed gears and I especially like the "click" you get when shifting to the next gear. I wonder how it compares to the Pro 5.0.

Ive heard the Pro 5.0 is a great shifter as well. Some people gripe about how short the throw is and how far they have to reach, but you gotta reach the same distance to mess with your radio so I dont see the big deal. Just go with whichever you feel best getting and whichever is cheaper. Good luck. Mine will be here today

I just got some blue goopy stuff from an auto parts place. I told them what I was doing and that is what they suggested. Have not had any problems.
Be sure to let us know what you think. It will feel stick and a bit clunky at first for a while, but after a month or soo, it will be smooth as silk. Make sure you don't set the stops too close. You need to be sure that the gear engage fully. When I thought mine were set just right, I actually backed off on them a tad just to be sure.
