Opinions on 4.30 gears for a Cobra
I talk to the shop that is doing all the work and they suggested 4.30 gears would be good for the 98 Cobra block swap they are doing for me. What do you guys think? I do not use my GT everyday and sees highway every once in a while. Anyone have 4.30s?

As far as highway mileage these cars do well with 4.10's, remember you spend most of your time cruising in overdrive. I get 21 mpg with 4.30's @ 75 mph. I have never checked out what I could get @60, too impatient I guess.
I found my torque converter sucked a couple mpg off on city driving.

Another vote for 4.30's....I have a 96 gt, with an 02 motor with all the bolt ons. I'm sticking a 4000 stall converter with a set of 4.30s in the car. And yes, this is my daily driver...actually its the only car I own since I sold the other stang 2 years ago.
