Default Hid ?

I know if you have HID's then you will lose your high beams but which is better to have? To have high/low beams or to have HID's with no high beam??/ any input or experiences with HID's on this forum?? I havent seen anyone with an HID kit on here.

thanks

In california at least there is a governmental movement to ban HID conversions. Check your local laws before attempting it. I'd pass on the opportunity myself. I think they look kinda ghey most of the time. If you can manage to make them look good and perform well, more power to you.

Non-stock hid's are illegal in most states. I have a 8000k hid setup and honestly they are alot better than regular lights. I ride in my g/f's mustang and the lighting sucks at nite and in the rain! It is true you on have a single beam (no high beams) but you can compensate and adjust your lights like i did and not have a problem. Now and then you will get the accasional idiot who doesnt know what HID's are and high beams you at night. If you get a 6000k or 8000k system your visability will be good, if you go up to a 10000k or higher the visability is less but your lights look purple. 6k is like a hyper white and 8k is like a blue. Either way you go you wont regret getting HID's.

Va law doesnt allow them unless they are OEM on the car. I already had my g/f check the law. Altho I've had my HID's in my mustang for a good 3 or 4months now and havent had any police problems at all. But when you go for state inspection you will need to unplug the balast and change the bulbs which would take 5 mins.
