Bullitt Pedals-how do I put em on???

Hey guys, I ordered a bunch of stuff fromMT (very fast shipping btw),and among them we the bullitt pedals for a manual trans, including the dead pedal. Anyone have step by step instructions for these. I'm confused as to how they go on. Thanks boys and girls.

Taking the old ones off is easy. Use pliers and just peel them off. The new ones are tricky to put on especially since there is not much room to work.

Use a little soapy water and a hairdryer to warm them up a bit.

2 B honest, I forget how the gass pedal goes on. I will have to take a look.

If I remember correctly, you have to remove one of the pedals since it has a pressure pin holding the pedal. I removed that pedal out of the car and tapped out the pin. It was easy to do it outside the car, other pedals slip on.

To do the gas pedal, you must be very patient, because if you arent, you will break a 17 dollar pedal like I did. For the gas pedal, you need to take the whole assembly out of the car by unbolting the two bolts, and unhooking the throttle linkage. Then when you get it out, use a punch to get the pin out, DO NOT REUSE THIS PIN, go to lowes and buy a bolt with a lock nut and use that, it will make it easy on you and wont let you make the pedal a nice papeweight like mine is. Good luck, be patient.

Good tip, the hair dryer will loosen up what is a very hard rubber on the back of these pedals. I, also, would tell you to have patience with the gas pedal assembly.
