Supercharger blowoff valve??

I am thinking of supercharging my stang. I have talked to people who say that you can use some type of blow off valve with a supercharger. I love the way blow off sound in my friends turbos and was wondering if you could really put one on a supercharger??? Than ks

Blow off valve and by pass valve are two different ways of bleeding the air to avoid the impeller from slowing down. I had a Greddy Type S blow off valve and with 20lbs of boost that thing was super loud. I would get alot of attention because of it. The Greddy piece could of been used in either configuration but I have only seen blow off valves used on turbos like I had. I have not seen a blow off valve used on a supercharger only a by pass. Do your homework on this one and dont go on what someone thinks might work.

Someone posted a vid of their Corvette with a BOV on dfwstangs.net. It sounded Suh-weet!!! So to answer the original question, I've seen it (on video, not in person)!!

Just because someone has it on does not mean he has the best and most efficient setup. Like I said ask around professional shops or manufactuer as routing the air back in will probably be better than letting it out into the atmosphere.
