UPR Big Mouth 4.6L Upper Plenum Kit

Has anyone heard anything about the UPR Big Mouth 4.6L Upper Plenum? I know Accufab and C&L are dyno proven, but I'm just curious if anyone has seen any data or write ups on the UPR upper plenum. Just doing some research for a future mod.

My experience with upr is that they just copy other peoples products and slap their name on it!

jjtgiants 03-14-2005 12:00 PM

Yeah, I've heard that same thing from other people. I guess if they copied C&L or Accufab that wouldn't be so bad! ha ha ha. I have several of their interior billet items and the quality is just ok.

Havent seen this out yet, didnt know they were in the process of making another copy, err, I mean product. :D Ill have to check it out.

if your looking for a cheaper plenum a trickflwo is a good deal its 139 from summit. thats wha ti plan to grab when i get enough mods to need one.

UPR products are not exactly the best liked products here. UPR is not a company most sites like. If you get some proven results, then go for it, other than that, dont waste your money

I saw a picture of th UPR plenum and it is an exact copy of the C&L, just the price is $30 cheaper.

I once heard someone say, "you get what you pay for". But that's not always the way it turns out. Sounds like a good cheap plenum if you don't want to spend as much on a Accufab.

Stevoneo, your right, I kinda got the feeling that UPR isn't well liked. I'm not going to get into bashing them, but I will say like many others I've had a horrible experience with them....and then some decent ones. I do have some of their interior item, but no performance parts. Just thought I'd put it out there and see if the product was decent and could provide a few extra ponies.

There are some guys with some very fast cars that use UPR.

spike_africa 03-15-2005 01:05 PM

Its just a company, they make good parts for fairly cheap. and like all companys they are gonna have people who got screwed over, either on purpose or by accident. either way thats how it is with every site. I dont let other peoples deals affect my buying descions unless there are just tons of people who had a problem. heck if it were for other people i would never of gotten my mac catback and it turned out ot be great. incase you cant tell i love it :)

I wish someone had some Dyno tests for the UPR plenum. I've seen #'s for trick flow, c&l and accufab. I also heard BBK is coming out with a plenum. We'll see.

Throttle Body

Quick Question: I have the K&N FIPK Cold Air intake set up.....will it fit with a 70mm and 75mm throttle body?
