Stock tire on 17x9 rim?
 

I need some help. I am about to sell my stock bullitts without tires for Black bullitts and I have a great deal on stock black ones and aftermarket 17x9's. My question is how will the stock tire sit on the 17x9 rim? Will it be too noticeable that the stock tire is too small for the rim? Or will i be able to pull it off? I would rather have the 17x9 so that when the stock tires get old i can get much wider ones. Please let me know asap thanks.

They should fit.

a lot of people say that the tire looks fatter (profile wise) and also there is a greater fear of curb rash. I think i will go with the stock Bullitts for now and then maybe just sell 2 so i can get the deep dish ones.

You should be able to pull it off, but I wouldn't for to long, it will look a little funny. I would just save up and get some wider tires IMO. My deep dish Bullitt's are coming in Monday but I am going to wait until I can get some wide tires for them.

245's will fit on a 9 inch rim but not by much. The rim sticks out farther than the tire so stay away from curbs.

They will fit but they will look aweful. The lip of the rim will stick out close to half an inch more than the top of the tire will. Also, you will get excessive tire wear on the outer and inner edge of the tire, so it will not last as long.
