BBK LT headers

Will I pass emissions if I put on LT headers and a bbk catted x-pipe? How about with an offroad X?

Again this in pennsylvania

Fryguy22 04-21-2006 03:44 PM

If anyone knows please tell me because I would like to order tonight or tommoroow.

catted yes u should pass...the reason o/r pipes (uncatted) dont pass is cause it has no cats what so ever....and if i were u..id get the catted h pipe....ive heard that the x's are extremely raspy

red281gt 04-21-2006 07:01 PM

x-pipes better for streaght threw pipes like magnaflows and slp loudmouths and h-pipes are better for chambered mufflers like flows

In PA, you should pass! I live in PA too. The rules vary by county somewhat so keep that in mind.

Dont get the BBK X pipes, the sound like crap. If you want a x that matches up to BBK LT's get a VRS or Dr Gas x pipe.

heh, I wish I took that advice before getting mine. I've heard that the H sounds better so I wanna get it. Only thing is, I have no clue how I'd get rid of the shorty X. I'd have to find someone looking to buy BBK LT's at the same time.

BBKs headers fit like CRAP!!!!! Id look somewhere else for headers if I were you.
I have BBK shorties and nothing was right.

Fryguy22 04-22-2006 11:02 AM

Alright. Would you suggest the BBK LT's into an SLP X into my LM1's?

I just said headers, not midpipe. Personally, id stay away from BBK headers.

:stupid:

i heard bad stuff too...

If I were you I'd get a set of hooker headers

red281gt 04-24-2006 06:32 AM

is it true that if you get hooker LTs dont you HAVE to buy their mid-pipe? I heard that other pipes will not if unless they are moded.

Where'd you hear that from?? Every comment I saw on MPH about them was fine. The only time people got rid of them was to get stainless steel headers. NOt that there was anything wrong with the BBK's

bad fitment... lower quality then others (like hookers)

but thats just what I am told...

If I were to do long tubes (i think I will) I will do hookers...

SO MANY people swear hooker is the best... I like doing things once...

so I dont go cheap...

IE. eibach, borla, pro5.0, I'd rather spend $$$ on parts that are best quality...

not saying that BBK are bad tho
