Revs are getting stuck

Ok ive started to notice that every once in awhile after i engage the clutch my revs will hang out at around 2K rpm for a sec or 2 and then fall. And at idle it will be at 1000rpm and go up and down to 1100rpm.

Im thinkin its a problem with my IAC? and if it is how can i fix that?

Also i recently cleaned out my IMRCs and i disconnected my battery so is it possible that it cleared out the tune from my gears or sumtin?
Or maybe i forgot to connect something when i was reassembling my intake manifold after i cleand the IMRCs? :helpsmili

There is definately something wrong with the IAC, the vaccum, or the breather hoses. Im pretty sure that the IMRCs have something to do with it. Was this happenening before you changed it? If not then your headed in the right direction. I would completely diassemble the intke manifold and check all your gaskets and make sure that nothing is leaking air. The throttle should hang a little inbetween shifts. Thats normal and it actually helps alot. The only problem I see is that it may be hanging too long and the idle is definately out of whack. A perfect stock idle wont jump around at all. The needle should stay almost perfectly still during idle if its running right.

it was immediately after... first start actually

i noticed the idle acting up a bit when we started it up. (bobbing up and down)

but after we let it sit for about a minute or two it seemed to be normal.

but now ive started noticing it getting stuck at 2000rpm. :wallbash:

Could be a few things.

1. Is what you already mentioned, the IAC needs to be replaced or cleaned.

2. How well did you inspect your composite gaskets? Did you have any tears or anything on them? What about the vacuum lines and connections going to your intake, EGR, IAC, etc etc.

3. If your car was unplugged for a long period of time it might have cleared the ECU memory, at which point the car needs to relearn everything. Drive around normally, go WOT, let it learn everything in closed loop again.
