MIL Eliminator problem
 

I installed an o/r h pipe on my 98 mustang gt about 2 to 3 months ago. I just order my MIL eliminators from summit last week and i installed them on wednesday but the CHECK ENGINE light still stayed on. :mad: I didnt unplug the batter while i was installing them but i did as soon as i was done installing them and the light did turn off until i drove it on the highway. What could be the problem? My car has been running fine so i dont think theres anything wrong with the engine or anything like that. :helpsmili

just give it some time for the mils to tell the comp that it is getting the right signal from the 02 sensor, or if you had sct or diablo you could clear the trouble code you are getting

Yea give it 1-3 days for the computer to reset itself.

My MIL light came on 2 days after I had my o/r X installed, and then 2 days later it turned off again. I think the computer just needs to recognize them.

I bought MILs and 02 sensors to get the light off! AND STILL MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON! Mechanic says i need a chip to turn it off, so planning to get my gears and speedcal in soon! And hopefully light will go off!

sometimes the Mils cant keep the code from comming and you need a tune to get rid of the light.

i disconnected the battery for 30 mins and then put on the mils (from steeda). check engine light never came on.
