Comp 270's & Nitrous

I have been doing some research on which cams to go with and read that the comp 270's have 5 degrees of timing advance. Conventional wisdom states that advanced timing and nitrous are a big no go. Am I reading this info wrong or would this be a problem?

true they are advanced but that doesnt mean the timing on your ignition is advanced. You just pull some ingintion timing out and its fine. In other words its ok to run these with nitrous. But i think a better nitrous cam would be something like the 262 or maybe 268's. You might wanna call comp cams and ask what is better for nitrous. i would be interested as well in this.

Problem is finding a good cam for n/a and Nitrous.

VT stage 1 or 2's work great for NA and nitrous! Or get a custom grind from Tim at MPH. If you get Comp cams then I would get them degreed.

Yes, be careful with the Comps, as a LOT of people have had problems with piston to valve contact. And I have also heard that the VT's are GREAT with nitrous.

Where can you order the VTs now?

thats only the 270's with out being timed correctly on a stock piston.

However, the timing can be correct and you can still have PTV.

What would be the best VT cam for nitrous? I want alot of power but keep it street/strip. Any suggestions?

VT stage 1's or 2's. Depends on how rough you want the idle. Thats the main difference between the two.
