What do I need to have my 4.10 gears installed?

I have a 2002 GT that is automatic and I have 4.10 ring and pinon gears that need to be installed, what else do i need for the install? An installer said something about a pinon seal and some other stuff but i am not sure. I have 26,000 miles on my car right now.

Thanks

Get an install kit from Randy at Liberty Ford here. Bearings, seals and a crush sleeve.
You will need to press the bearing on, and a lash adjuster gauge and also need to measure the back spacing if it's not a set of Ford racing gears. It's a job better suited for a shop unless you have done it before. Price runs from 200-400 bucks usally.

You'll also need a handheld tuner or a chip so you can correct your speedo. 4.10s will put your speedo pretty significantly off from stock until then and you'll be registering miles racked up that didn't actually rack up. You'll need 2-3 quarts of good Synthetic gear oil (I like Redline Light Shockproof, but Royal purple is just as good) and depending on what gear oil you use you may need a 4oz bottle of equa-torque or a similar friction modifier. you don't have to worry about a cover gasket, black RTV is fine in my experience.

Other than that... Blue02 got it all. For install in your area, log on to wildhorsesclub.com/forums and ask those guys with a post in the Modular section or look in Shops/Vendors... they mostly live in SoCal and can point you at some of our choice shops. there's even a couple guys on there that have been known to do gears on the cheap themselves. Very experienced crowd over there for the most part.
