Hooker Headers are really good headders, i think that they are rated to give you the most HP, while BBK is rated to give you the least gains in HP. I know that Kooks is also a good brand. I dont know much about Borla headers, but they are good for everything else.

Hooker headers are very good. Expensive compared to BBK, but you get what you pay for.

Hookers have both good and bad
Good: Dont have to pull one of the headers off to change the clutch
Matching X pipe
Can get ceramic coated
Bad: Price
Questionable Fitment

Hooker Headers is one of the oldest and most trusted names in exhaust.

Borla is one of the most expensive and worth-it brands in the world. Supercars come stock with Borla as often as not for a reason.

I'd tell the auto-parts store guy to keep OPINION to himself and dispense only fact. Borla rocks. Hooker Headers rocks. Pep-Boys sucks. Kragen/Checker/Schucks sucks more.
