Default I have the headers and H pipe...

my headers are pretty rusted. It started less than a year after I got them and the pic is from 2 years later. My H pipe (no pic) is only a few months old and still looks new. Sound is great though but I have a lot of under hood heat and annoying ticking noises. I'm not sure if the ticking noises are coming from the headers or the valvetrain.

Hey apache46, I have a MAC catback on my 02 GT and I love the sound. Do you by any chance have any vids or recordings of your ride with the headers and H pipe? I was just wondering how yours sounded and if it was quite a bit louder.

That makes two of us with the mac catback. I have yet to get headers and mid pipes. Prolly gonna go with x pipe. I'm cool with how it currently sounds so no need for the H. Headers will definitely be ceramic coated.

Hey "LOOT" I have a silver 02 gt with mac cat back as well.

like bbk's? I don't think mine are ceramic. They're "chrome"

I thought I heard that BBK's were ceramic, but were alumized steel, not stainless steel.

I have SLP as well, best of both worlds, ceramic and stainless, still look as good as new.

Well I looked on the site where I got mine and it doesnt mention ceramic, wheras the ones on MT do say that they're ceramic. I assume bbk offers both kinds, which would explain why I paid so much less for mine than MT offers

I've got the Mac catback too, it still looks really good as long as I keep the tips polished. Sounds is deep and throaty. check out www.mustangexhaust.com if you wanna hear one.

Yeah, I bought my '02 used and the previous owner had let the tips go without keeping them up. When I got the car I had to clean them up quite a bit. If they get a little rusty just use a little chrome wheel cleaner on them. I'm not sure about yours RedFirevert04GT but mine are chrome all the way back to the mufflers. They sound great in my opinion.

Default Here's some vids of the exhaust

again, Mac L/ts (rusted to hell) Mac O/R H and Flows.. done on a Texas back road (speed limit 70mph). I Haven't edited it so please excuse the length.

1) the ticking noise that may or may not be the headers
http://media.putfile.com/DSCF0009
2) few revs
http://media.putfile.com/revs41
3) take off
http://media.putfile.com/take-off-and-decel

the last one is long so after the accel and decel there isn't anything interesting. All vids were taken on a FugiFilm f401 digital camera with digital video but they turned out alright.
