Damn man that sucks. Have your mom buy you some new stuff j/j. Personally you shouldnt drive a mustang in the snow for two reasons. A there rwd with a light rear end. B Salt = rust and thats no good. Also does the cobra bumper set alot lower if soo you should stick to a gt bumper if you have to drive it all year around.

Hate to hear about the bad luck. It will be new again. Don't sweat it. That's why it's so tough to have a daily driver that you take so much time making like you want. But look on the bright side, at least you are getting to enjoy your car. Lot's of folks here just park thier car and look at it.

Why don't you just bondo it.. sand it down and give it a little touch-up paint? Thats a $30 repair bill there and its not really noticable?

you can fix urethane the same way you can fiberglass and its not rocket science.

so there you go, resin coat it.. seal it up, sand it around and paint. Saves you $800 for a new bumper.

See with a part that is cracked you can fix one side, but on the other side the air movement can cause it to push through and crack again. To be safe you would just resin the backside it wouldnt have to look perfect.

I just globbed it on the backside when I cracked my bumper, and it's held pretty good so far.

My bumpers are fiberglass not urethane, but I need serious repairing. I've been officially quoted by a very good shop that they would take off the bumper, sand blast all the way down, fix everything with fiberglass coatings, re-prep, paint, and re-install all for 250 (that was the front bumper).

They also told me though that urethane was much tougher to "touch up" than fiberglass. I'm not sure if finerglass would adhere correctly to the urethane.

Jon, you need some fatherly advice!

Why in god's name are you running around Co. in the winter with fat sumis? That is front-end damage waiting to happen. Sumi's are a high-performance summer tires. Driving those things in the winter is like taking a pistal to a pigeon shoot. Funny thing is you prolly kept them on to save money and if you keep driving on them, you are going to do more then just smack another bumper.

Holly hell, get them off and put a skinny all-season tire on.
