My Suburban Overhaul

Today i started what I imagined is going to be one of the hardest things for me to do. I am going to put a new engine in my chevy 95 suburban. I have help from a friend. But man I believe this is going to take a while. Right now. We have the radiator/battery/alternator/fan shrouds/ac compressor off. Unfortunately we broke a line to the a/c compressor. So I have to go find a used one somewhere. Sux. I also got some freon in my mouth. Is that stuff dangerous for ya>?

Well The engine is finally out after about 20hrs of work on it. It is just chilling in my garage. Lemme tell you. There are a couple of things on the chevy's that were a bitch to get off.

#1= The transmission bolts to the engine (PAIN IN THE ASS
#2= Taking off the bolts from the torque converter.
#3= A couple of the main engine block bolts were a pain also.

Overall though I am glad that I am doing this. I have learned ALOT about chevy's then I ever imagined. Hopefully the install won't take more than like 30 hours total. I fear putting back in the tranny bolts......shudders.

what do you guys think I can get after I put in a brand new engine from chevrolet? It is a 95 suburban with 250,000 miles on it. But...it will have new tires/radiator/engine/tranny changed @ 190,000 miles. And a re-apolstered interior seats. What do you think I will get?

releasing freon into the atmosphere is very irresponsalbe. Getting freon in your mouth is even worse. Poisonous to the body and to the atmosphere.
